About us

Building the future of grid operations.

Founded at UC Berkeley in 2023. Now deploying with leading grid operators across Europe and the US.

Our Story

From a lab in Berkeley to power lines worldwide.

Our founders, Andreas Moldskred and Lauritz Weil, met as students at UC Berkeley in 2023. Both driven by a fascination with drones and the power grid, they quickly bonded over their mutual interests and complementary skills.

Through countless late-night discussions and collaborative projects, they envisioned a solution that could transform grid operations, making them more efficient, safer, and cost-effective.

Values

What drives us.

Ship fast, learn faster

We deploy early, iterate from field data, and prioritize real-world validation over simulation.

Build what matters

Grid reliability is a global challenge. We focus on high-impact applications that make the grid safer.

Engineering excellence

Hardware is unforgiving. We hold ourselves to aerospace-grade standards in everything we build.

OUR story

Engineered in Munich. Deployed globally.

Building mission-critical hardware requires a world-class ecosystem. We are headquartered in Munich to leverage the region's exceptional robotics talent, deep industrial engineering roots, and proximity to major European utility infrastructure. We operate with a borderless mindset, bringing agile, high-performance sensor platforms to grid operators everywhere from the Norwegian mountains to the US electrical grid.

Today, Nomadic drones are deploying with leading grid operators, on lines carrying up to 380kV across Germany, Norway, and the US, with more customers coming online in 2026.
