Continuous visual inspection for hardware condition, vegetation encroachment, and early wildfire smoke detection.
Purpose-built autonomous drones that land on power lines, recharge wirelessly, and execute multi-sensor missions indefinitely.
We built the Nomad from the ground up for the harshest utility environments. At just 3.8kg, it is light enough for rapid, single-pilot deployments, but rugged enough to withstand severe weather, winter storms, and heavy electromagnetic interference (EMI). Once it physically locks onto the conductor, it securely grips the line, becomes resistant to high winds, and operates reliably in ambient temperatures between -25°C and 50°C

A single Nomad replaces multiple static sensors. It comes fully equipped with a comprehensive, integrated sensor suite to monitor asset health, dynamic line ratings, and environmental risks simultaneously.
Continuous visual inspection for hardware condition, vegetation encroachment, and early wildfire smoke detection.
High-precision accelerometers monitor aeolian vibrations and galloping to detect mechanical strain and prevent hardware fatigue.
Onboard inclinometers accurately measure line sag and angle to validate clearance limits and unlock dynamic capacity.
Direct monitoring of line current and thermal data to identify overheating components and calculate real-time capacity.
Safety and operational integrity are non-negotiable. The Nomad is rigorously tested in high-voltage laboratories and field-proven on active European grids. It is heavily shielded against corona discharge and severe electromagnetic interference (EMI), guaranteeing safe installation, uninterrupted data transmission, and reliable inductive charging directly from the live conductor.

Traditional static sensors are expensive to install and impossible to move, while helicopters only provide temporary snapshots. The Nomad provides a permanent monitoring presence with total physical flexibility. It lands on the wire, locks into place, and powers itself inductively from the line's electromagnetic field. When your risk profile shifts due to weather, changing loads, or seasonal fires, you simply deploy the drone to the next span.
Installing traditional grid sensors is a logistical bottleneck that requires planned outages, bucket trucks, and hazardous line work. The Nomad eliminates this friction entirely.
A ground pilot flies the unit to the target span, and the drone autonomously docks directly onto the live conductor in under five minutes. No de-energization, no heavy equipment, and no putting crews in harm's way. It is rapid, scalable sensor deployment that keeps your lines fully operational.
Attaches directly to energized lines up to 220kV. No scheduled outages or capacity reductions.
High-precision accelerometers monitor aeolian vibrations and galloping to detect mechanical strain and prevent hardware fatigue.
Keeps your lineworkers off the towers, out of bucket trucks, and safely away from high-voltage environments and difficult terrain.
Your grid is dynamic, your sensor network must be too. Unlock the full value of the Nomadic platform by relocating sensors autonomously, without dispatching field crews.
Our drones are engineered for secure, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, allowing them to undock from a conductor, fly to a new high-risk location, and re-dock to resume monitoring and inductive charging. Controlled directly from your operations center, this capability turns a static sensor asset into a flexible, responsive tool for grid management.
